Inside Rishi & Vibhuti’s First Bridal Collection

Designer duo Rishi & Vibhuti have officially stepped into the world of bridal, and their debut collection feels less like a traditional launch and more like a thoughtful redefinition of what bridalwear can be today.

Rooted in storytelling, emotion, and individuality, this collection moves away from heavy, conventional norms and instead embraces lightness, fluidity, and a deeply personal approach to dressing. Through this exclusive Q&A, the designers take us behind the vision.

A Personal Milestone

For the brand, this first bridal collection is more than just a category expansion. It’s a deeply personal milestone, a natural evolution where craft meets emotion, and where their signature aesthetic finds a new, more intimate expression.

Who Is the Modern Bride?

In their words, she is expressive, intuitive, and unapologetically herself. She values individuality over tradition, choosing outfits that tell her story rather than simply following expectations.

A Shift Towards Lightness

The collection is driven by a desire to liberate bridalwear. Instead of heavy, restrictive garments, the focus is on effortless elegance—pieces that feel personal, emotional, and easy to wear.

Designing for Movement & Ease

Movement plays a central role in the collection. Think fluid silhouettes, breathable fabrics, and thoughtful construction—allowing the bride to feel present and comfortable through every moment, not weighed down by it.

Made for Destination & Modern Weddings

With weddings becoming more experiential and travel-driven, these designs are created to move with the bride. Lightweight and versatile, they transition seamlessly across multiple functions and settings.

Beyond One Moment

Today’s bride isn’t dressing for just the ceremony. She’s dressing for an entire journey—from intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. Each look in the collection is designed to be part of that evolving story.

Design Details That Define the Collection

Expect a blend of soft, sculpted silhouettes, delicate florals, and intricate detailing. The designs strike a balance between structure and fluidity, brought to life through refined craftsmanship.

Playful Yet Refined

What makes the collection stand out is its balance—playful elements like colour and texture paired with restrained, polished tailoring. The result feels fresh, modern, and timeless all at once.

How Should a Bride Feel?

At its core, the collection is about emotion. The designers want every bride to feel effortless, confident, and completely herself, elevated, not overwhelmed.

The Perfect Backdrop: Ajit Bhawan Palace

The campaign was shot at Ajit Bhawan Palace, a space that beautifully mirrors the collection’s essence. Ajit Bhawan in Jodhpur stands as a landmark of India’s heritage hospitality, originally built in 1927 as the royal residence of Maharaj Dhiraj Sir Ajit Singh of Marwar-Jodhpur.

Constructed in distinctive local red sandstone, the property reflects the grandeur of Rajput architecture, seen in its expansive courtyards, carved wooden interiors, and vintage furnishings. Today, the palace retains its old-world charm through its preserved structures, antique décor, and layered design language.

With its blend of heritage, intimacy, and timeless charm, it creates the perfect setting for a modern romance story.

The campaign captures the essence of a wedding that feels less like a formal event and more like a beautifully curated escape, blurring the lines between ceremony and celebration. It reflects the evolving narrative of Indian weddings today, where brides are choosing experiences over expectations, and ease without ever compromising on style.

This is bridal, reimagined with a sense of movement, emotion, and joy. This is the Rishi & Vibhuti bride.

The collection is now available at the Rishi & Vibhuti flagship store in Chhatarpur, New Delhi. Exclusive previews are available by appointment only.
