Chavans Classical Musical Orchestra

Nandkumar Chavan is born and brought up into a family, where music is everything in the life. He is originally from Satara, one of the districts of Maharashtra. He got inspired from his father Mr. Lakshman Chavan who used to play various musical instruments like Tabla, Sitar, Santoor, he was also mastered at vocal.At the age of 10 he started his music career from Guru Shri. Baliram N. Patange, Khetwadi, Girgaon. He took proper lessons from him and did riyaz Nandkumar Chavan holds Visharad (B.A. in Music) not only in Tabla but also in Harmonium and Vocals. He is one of the few artists who have mastered the art in three streams of music. While taking music lessons from his Guru, he had started to perform with his father on various occasions. He has also felicitated by the Maharashtra State Government for his performances.
Since 1994, he has started teaching music in Municipal schools in Mumbai. He has developed his skills by mastering the arts in various instruments like Sitar, Santoor, Jalatarang, Flute, Tabla and Harmonium. He conducts various musical programs like Ghazals, Classical Music, Jugalbandi, Gujrati, Marriage songs, cultural dance songs at five start hotels like Taj President Hotel, Trident and also performs in it. He also accompanies Bharatnatyam and Katthak performances. He has also participated in the shows, which were organized by the Indian Government at places like Pune, Kolhapur, Jalna, Wardha, Amaravati, Nagpur, Chennai and Delhi (1994 & 2010). He has also done foreign tour in Dubai in 2009, which made Hindustani classical music very popular in Gulf countries. ... ...Less
