A minuscule catering business which was started for private parties and friends was the genesis of Infinity Hotels Pvt Ltd. Incepted by entrepreneur Farhan Azmi, Infinity Hotels Pvt Ltd today, has under its umbrella brands like Koyla - ethnic cuisine, Cafe Basilico - bistro & deli, Chai Coffi and soon to be launched a luxury Boutique Hotel - Basilico House.
In October 2001, on the rooftop of his family hotel called Gulf Hotel at Colaba, Farhan started Mumbai's First rooftop restaurant overlooking the Arabian Sea in the name of Koyla meaning charcoal in Hindi.
