Shivani Bajwa, the charismatic, young, yogi-owner of YogaSutra has traveled the long, hard road to arrive at her destination today (and according to her, shes still got a long way to go). Her story has inspired many to make a positive change even in their lives.
While she kicked off her career the conventional way, theres been nothing conventional about her choices or the path shes taken. After an exciting, yet exhausting seven years in the corporate world, and a life-altering incident, she took a step back and reviewed her career, and life, in an all-new light. While still recuperating at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, she trained intensively to become a Yoga Teacher, reveling in the sweat, pain and glory of the strenuous process. From there, she went on to master advanced teaching/training techniques.
She started YogaSutra in 2010, and since then theres been no looking back. She introduced her students to the benefits of yoga not just as a tool for weight loss, but for well-being. She has labored to create her own dynamic routines that include weight loss and strength training, thus designing her own signature program, the YogaSutra Power Vinayasa Course.
Through this, she has helped her students understand the importance of staying fit rather than just staying thin. She believes that a combination of moderate living and regular yoga are the basic necessities for crafting good living.
