Rang by Manjula Soni

Manjula Soni is a New Delhi based designer who has roots in Rajasthan and Hyderabad - the two places that kindle her artistic passion. An alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College and Delhi School of Economics, she worked as a Financial Restructuring Consultant for 25 years. Art and design have been close fascinations for her and it's her keen interest in Indian textiles and local craftsmanship that formed the genesis of Rang by Manjula Soni.

A keen observer of all things Indian, Manjula is a self-taught designer. She draws inspiration from myriad landscapes and the varied colours in nature and appreciates the uniqueness & strength of women from different walks of life. Manjula is a firm believer in the fact that design should enhance and embrace the personality of the wearer, and not the opposite. Her designs are timeless, elegant and something to be passed on to daughters and grand daughters as family heirlooms.
When not surrounded by fabrics and karigars, she can be found in the kitchen experimenting
with new recipes for her family, setting new records for cracking the Sudoku or tending to her garden.

Paying homage to her Rajasthani roots, Lead Designer Manjula Soni is inspired by the rich heritage of her ancestral home. The brand showcases a beautiful confluence of the old world elegance and modern sensibilities. Working with benarasi brocades, woven silks, delicate chiffons, gorgeous georgettes and soft-cottons, Rang by Manjula Soni celebrates Indian textiles, artisans and their supreme craftsmanship.
