Amar Manchanda: A Post Graduate in Commerce from Delhi University and a Qualified Trainer from Indian Junior Chamber, has Henry Giessen bier Fellowship of International Junior Chamber during his tenure of three consequent years on the board of Indian Junior Chamber as State President- Chandigarh, National Director- Growth & Development and National Vice President- Growth & Development in year 1988, 1989 and 1990. He has played vital roles in Chandigarh Traffic Police by rendering his voluntary services in various capacities to promote Road Safety and Traffic Awareness. In 1985 a Traffic Warden Cell in Chandigarh Traffic Police was introduced due to his initiative and he was nominated as Chief Traffic Warden by then IGP. He was nominated as a member of Core Group on the board of Central Traffic Advisory Committee of U.T. Chandigarh Administration. In 2002 a Traffic Awareness Organisation-Chandigarh was founded by him with a group of few like-minded local residents of Tri-city (Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali). Due to his untiring efforts and dedication and contributions towards Road Safety and Traffic Awareness he was honoured with State Award by Chandigarh Administration during Republic Day Parade ceremony in 2008.
