Greeshma Patel Photography

I am Greeshma Patel, a Bangalore-based on-location, natural light photographer specialising in creative portraiture of newborns, children, teens, families, parents-to-be and pets.
After studying fashion technology from NIFT, I worked in the industry for a couple of years – an exciting experience but too corporate, too structured for my free spirit. I called it quits when my first child was born. She was my first model. Shooting her gave me immense happiness, which is when I discovered my love for photography and took it up as a profession. I relived all those moments when my son was born a couple of years later.
Capturing the life of a growing child in images is one of the most emotional experiences for a parent, but it is also an adventure we want to make the most of. And it is amazing what a camera can do! To photograph a young person – growing and changing every day, every minute unpredictable, every child different. You have to work with what you get; poses are impossible to choreograph, and the challenges of lighting and mood are perpetual.
