With a desire to spread the taste of mouthwatering sweet varieties, the founder Late Shri Kantha Prasadji Garg traveled extensively all over India and finally established himself in the erstwhile Bangalore city. The first sweetmeat store was started in Malleswaram in the year 1951 under the mentorship of Shri Srinivas Murthy. In 1971, Mr. Narendra Kumar Garg son of Late Sri Kantha Prasadji Garg joined the family business and renamed it as Asha Sweet Center.
