There was little room left for love in the busy Bombay life of Arpit and Tanya. The year was 2017, amidst heavy rains and shared love for the wine they had their first date. Arpits’ attempts to woo Tanya eventually swivelled into a playful romance over three years and a dreamy Udaipur proposal finally transpired into an unforgettable journey. Before they knew it, her sister Ayushi played cupid to connect their families. They didn\u2019t know their lives would change forever as both their families sat on adjacent tables one afternoon in Jyran, Sofitel.<\/p>\n

Tanya and Arpit had several different wedding plans before they actually made it to their vineyard wedding. Covid threw a wrench into everyone\u2019s plans but they are happy they ended up where they did- Sula vineyards reminiscing their dating days. Tanya\u2019s sister Ayushi coined the hashtag BayTaShah for their love of the city – Bombay; where they met and are going to spend the rest of their lives. Bay comes from Bombay, TaShah comes from the names of Tanya and Arpit Shah.<\/p>\n

This Is It Moment<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

When asked they had a different answer to this question. The duo was introduced at a party only four years ago. Arpit pursued Tanya and the two started dating right after. They never realized each other\u2019s company could be so amazing and it just felt right. After two months of dating and a flurry of Snapchat messages, phone calls, lots of long walks, Arpit realized they belonged together after having seen each other for a year.<\/p>\n

On the contrary, Tanya realized it much later, for three years in Bombay they used to meet all the time, attended events together, used to hang out with each other friends. Amidst the lockdown, when they didn\u2019t see each other for eight months, Tanya realized how much she loves him.<\/p>\n

Dreamy Bollywood Proposal<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Arpit planned an intimate and dreamy proposal during a short vacation to Udaipur at the Jagat Niwas overlooking the lake. It was special and nothing short of a fairy tale. She thought they were going for a date so she was all ready and dolled up for him. He took her to the terrace and on seeing the setup she was so overwhelmed because it was exactly what she had imagined all her life a dreamy Bollywood proposal. He found the perfect ring and popped the question\u2026<\/p>\n

Mehendi \u00a0& Haldi Ceremony<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

They officially kicked off the #BayTaShah wedding celebration with Mehendi at the brides\u2019 home followed by other rituals. The couple\u2019s wedding celebration at Sula started with a \u201cTel Ban\u201d ceremony with a close circle of family and friends. This was followed by Haldi which literally turned out to be a riot\u2026 almost like playing Holi. The Courtyard, a vibrant venue with an enchanting fountain, was done up in a sea of yellow blooms to keep a sense of traditional festivity elevating the overall rustic feel of the Sula vineyards. Energetic dhol music, packed dance floor, floral jewellery and potli bag stall set the tone for the soiree.<\/p>\n

Pool Party<\/strong><\/p>\n

For their party by the pool, navy blue accents and hints of silver, Tanya wore an Ice blue dress while Arpit wore a cool light pink suit. With fun-filled games and music all around, an enthusiastic bunch of family and friends danced away.<\/p>\n

Sangeet Night<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Sangeet was a starry fun-filled night with a personalized selection of songs, energetic dance performances and contemporary white and golden d\u00e9cor. Post their elegant dance, which they aced quite flawlessly, was a long night of crazy partying! They put on their dancing shoes along with friends and family and let loose. Tanya decided to add some sparkle to her sangeet opting for an ivory lehenga by Seema Gujral and diamond jewellery designed by her friend whereas Arpit complemented her in a Maroon Bandhgala by Sarah & Sandeep.<\/p>\n

The Wedding Ceremony<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

One wedding moment closest to Tanya\u2019s heart was Jaimala Ceremony. Arpit very graciously stepped down to accept the garland and the crowd hooted to make his gesture even grander.<\/p>\n

The wedding stage was constructed in the midst of beautiful vineyards creating a beautiful setting for the sundowner Pheras. Just like the ceremony, the theme was translated into the d\u00e9cor and carefully curated menu. The main ceremony honoured both the bride and groom\u2019s backgrounds. It was a beautiful coming together of Marwari and Gujrati cultures.<\/p>\n

Sustainable Wedding Invite<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

They wanted the invite to tell a strong story. Each leaf was a detailed representation capturing their rustic dream with the hint of vineyard elements and aesthetics of the ceremony. Soft colour palettes and watercolour illustrations captured the decor and theme subtly. Also, the couple chose to go paperless with the wedding invitation, since it\u2019s more sustainable.<\/p>\n
