Ayushi Bhasin<\/a><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 autumn winter 2018 collection is all about traditional ensembles with a modern twist, played with geometry to inject a modern spin into her couture collection. the line-up is as diverse as it gets: relaxed tailoring, floaty gowns, feminine and structured silhouette, pleated and ruffled hem, intricate craftsmanship, varied embroidery techniques, playful details and pictorial floral motifs \u2013 reflected in her collection.<\/p>\n

Crystallizing the mood of the season are structured cocktail gowns and lehengas in tones of muted pink, green and powder blue. You will find exquisite gowns galore \u2014 from thread work with crystals and matching sequence along the bodice to the sculptural folds of a ballgown skirt with floral appliqu\u00e9s provides great surface interest, the geometric designs break the m\u00e9lange of traditional floral motifs giving it a modern twist.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur motifs evolve from different cultures. It\u2019s a lot of fun mixing old contemporary forms with edgy statement components. Each line continues to imbibe the rich Indian craftsmanship with indigenous influences of contemporary silhouettes.<\/strong><\/em>\u201d, says the designer.<\/p>\n

\u2018A green bardot puff-sleeved choli and matching lehenga with jaali motif and intricate zardozi work is definitely the freshest, most alluring look of the line-up<\/em>\u2019 according to Ayushi Bhasin.<\/p>\n

The idea is to create statement pieces that would become must-have items. The colour palette is warm \u2014 shades of mint green, champagne, blush, muted pink and powder blue, a range of contemporary drapes are paired with flirty silk tunics featuring exquisite embroidery; and playful shararas are teamed with silk contemporary kurtas.
